A Trip to Paris at the 2nd Annual Cancer Beat

On Saturday, October 21, The Cancer Couch Foundation hosted the 2nd Annual Cancer Beat at The Warehouse in Fairfield.  The Cancer Couch was founded by Dr. Rebecca Timlin-Scalera after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.  Since then, Rebecca has dedicated her life to finding a cure for Stage IV breast cancer.

The 2nd Annual Cancer Beat brought guests from all over Fairfield County to indulge in a VIP cocktail reception with open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and a buffet under a French theme, followed by a concert performance by Howard Jones.  Rebecca gave a heartfelt speech about her journey with breast cancer and the passion and determination she has for finding a cure.

Guests were also invited to take part in the silent auction and various raffles in order to raise money.  Cruise and World Travel raffled off a package, which raised over $10,000 to benefit the Cancer Couch Foundation.  The package included two nights at the Esprit St. Germain in Paris along with $2,000 for airfare and travel expenses.  The lucky winner will enjoy a luxury weekend accompanied by exclusive perks and amenities.
