Lydia just returned from her very first trip to South Africa and Zambia! She absolutely loved everything about her trip – from the luxurious accommodations, which allow you to see beautiful animals in their natural habitat at your doorstep, to multicultural dining options, and more.
Africa is a great destination for honeymooners, families, and friends alike. There is something for everyone in Africa – whether one wants to indulge in boutiques and fabulous restaurants, lovely vineyards, or exotic safaris where one can spot animals just like the ones pictured here, which she took herself.
Lydia’s favorite memory was seeing the animals in their natural environment, and up close! She loved Cape Town – it’s a fabulous city with a great coastline, with beaches where you can find penguins in their natural habitat.
Lydia also had the opportunity to visit the wine country, which is about 1.5 hours from Capetown. She visited the towns of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, which are similar to Napa Valley. These towns have vineyards with great wines at reasonable prices, along with great food and lovely hotels and guest houses. If you are a history buff, Johannesburg is the city for you, with fascinating museums such as the Apartheid Museum, which is hauntingly similar to the Holocaust Museum in Europe, in that it discusses in rich details a struggle of oppression. Africa has it all – from exploring its history, to relishing in tantalizing treats, to experiencing wildlife up close and personal…book your trip to Africa today to experience this and more!
