London & Ireland: Fun for the Whole Family

Arri recently took a family trip to London and Ireland! From London’s bustling streets to the rolling hills of the Emerald Isle, they were able to experience the history and beauty that surround these two island nations. In London, Arri and her family visited the popular sites of Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and Piccadilly Circus.  At Kensington Palace, the exhibit Diana: Her Fashion Story displays Princess Diana’s iconic looks, including the velvet gown worn during her dance with John Travolta at the White House. Hyde Park’s wide open spaces provide a quiet refuge from the vivacious city streets.  A highlight…

Scenic Switzerland

Michelle Peck just returned from a trip around Switzerland, where she explored snow capped mountains, turquoise lakes, and cities littered with Gothic and Romanesque architecture. After landing in Zurich, Michelle made her way to Lausanne, a French-speaking city located on the edge of Lake Geneva.  To the south is a remarkable vista, where the French Alps reflect on the lake’s crystalline surface. The city itself contains a towering Gothic cathedral as well as plenty of shops and restaurants along its walkable streets.  Other highlights of Lausanne include the Olympic Museum and the various fine arts museums, where travelers can experience…

Turks and Caicos – The Best of the Caribbean

Nancy recently travelled to Turks & Caicos (pictured above), which is one of the brightest gems in all of the Caribbean. Grace Bay is one of the most stunning stretches of beach that one could ever hope to find, with oceans crystal clear as far as the eye can see. There are fantastic properties on these islands, particularly within the Grace Bay beach area in the Providenciales, colloquially referred to as “Provo”. Nancy visited quite a few properties, and came back with raving reviews of The Grace Bay Resort, which is a 5 star property that has a separate section…

Incredible Iceland

Iceland: the hottest new destination. Not really hot though! The hottest it gets is in July – their summer was an average of 58 degrees when I went on a Windstar cruise on the Star Legend two weeks ago. Windstar does 7 night itineraries during the month of July with a round trip Reykjavik itinerary. Cruising aboard the Star Legend was a great way to see the island. This wonderful gem in the middle of the Atlantic is close to the states, a quick 5 hour plane ride…

Travel Agents are Swamped with New Business!

A recent survey reveals some interesting facts about the increase in the general publics’ use of travel agents  – particularly notable in the Millennials’ age group. A staggering 34% of Millennials said that they have used a travel agent to book at least on vacation in the last year, according to MMGY’s annual survey. (this is a 20% increase from last year) How interesting that Millennials, the first generation to grow up with the Internet at their fingertips – who innately have the ability to Google destinations and process their credit cards in mere seconds – are representing such a…

Ireland, Germany, and Austria – Beautiful European Gems

Our administrative assistant, Christina, recently returned from a trip where she toured Ireland, Germany, and Austria. She especially loved the outskirts of Dublin, where she went on a day tour called the “Wild Wicklow.” On this tour, she viewed the spectacular Lough Tay lake (pictured above), wild heather and boglands, and experienced a traditional Irish pup lunch. In Dublin city itself, she experienced the centennial of the 1916 Easter Rising by visiting the GPO Witness History Museum right in the Dublin City Center. This brand new and interactive museum…
