Cruise and World Travel’s 25th Anniversary Celebration

On September 14, Cruise and World Travel celebrated the agency’s 25th anniversary at the Inn at Longshore in Westport. Attendees were welcomed by Cruise and World Travel’s founder Nancy Yale, followed by special guest speaker Jeremy Lindblad. As Director of Global Business Development for Lindblad Expeditions, Lindblad spoke of the transformational power of travel.

The waterfront ballroom held 150 clients and 25 vendors, who were invited to enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in gratitude for their loyalty to the agency over the years. Vendors included Seabourn Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Classic Vacations, and many more dedicated partners. Among the sounds of clinking glasses and the elegant piano, vendors seated along the ballroom’s edge could engage with clients about future travels. With popular concern about the state of the Caribbean after the recent hurricanes, the suppliers were able to set their clients’ minds at ease by suggesting unaffected island destinations.

Clients enjoy food and drink while socializing and gathering travel information from vendors.

In addition to the luxury of enjoying the open bar, carving station, and conversation, clients were invited to enter raffles. The prizes won were free hotel stays at various five star hotels, such as Villa D’Este in Lake Como, Esprit St. Germain in Paris, The Ritz London, Grand Velas in Riviera Maya, and Four Seasons in Boston. Approximately twenty recipients will be able to redeem the vouchers during future travels.

Cruise and World Travel would like to thank all who were present at the event for their loyalty and their support of the agency.
